HR Stories and Training
Employee Training & Guest Service Programs
Let's be honest, most HR video is forgettable.
We'd like to change that.
To us a training video, a culture film, or a recruiting piece is still an opportunity to tell a story. The same standards that apply to a brand commercial can apply here as well.
The work has to inform, but it also has to land. When it does, new hires show up better prepared, training runs shorter, and the company's values actually mean something to the people carrying them out every day.

HEART Guest Service Program
Herschend Entertainment runs theme parks, aquariums, and resort properties across the country, with more than 20,000 employees. Their HEART guest service training program needed a video element that could actually hold the room during a 90-minute in-person session, and reinforce the company's values across every property.
VALIDATE pitched the Harlem Globetrotters as the hosts. The Globetrotters joined the Herschend family of brands in 2013, and their message has always aligned with what Herschend asks of its employees: bring energy, treat people well, make the experience memorable.
We produced ten minutes of video content, broken into segments designed to punctuate the 90-minute training. Each segment kicks off a group discussion or practical exercise, which turns passive viewing into active learning.
The result is a training program that feels like a real experience, not a video someone is sitting through. Ten thousand employees across every Herschend property now share the same language for guest service, taught by hosts they recognize and respect.

Bass Pro Hospitality Orientation
Big Cedar Lodge is one of the most recognized hospitality destinations in the country, with a scope that covers lodges, restaurants, golf courses, marinas, and a long list of outdoor activities across the Ozarks. New employees have a lot of ground to cover before they can represent the place well.
Bass Pro Hospitality asked VALIDATE to build an orientation film that could carry the history, the mission, and the full scale of what Big Cedar offers. We produced a 45-minute orientation video combining new footage with existing assets from the resort. The film is anchored by an exclusive interview with Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris on his commitment to conservation, and a long-term employee hosts the film, which keeps the tone grounded in the people who actually work there.
We also cut a separate version for in-room viewing, so guests get an introduction to the resort the moment they check in.
The orientation video cut employee training time in half. New team members start their first day informed and connected to the company's mission. The footage we captured has since been repurposed across other Big Cedar projects, which extends the value of the original production well past its first use.

Recruiting & Training
SureGlow is one of the fastest-growing chimney companies in the country, and that kind of growth means hiring constantly. Every new technician needs to understand not just the trade but the standard SureGlow holds itself to.
VALIDATE built recruiting and training videos designed to scale with the company. The recruiting content shows what it actually looks like to work at SureGlow, with real crews, real jobs, and real culture, which attracts the right candidates before they ever walk in for an interview. The training content breaks down processes and expectations in a way that's clear and repeatable across every new market.
New hires show up with a clear understanding of the brand and the work, which shortens ramp-up time and keeps service quality consistent as SureGlow expands.
