The Project
When Silver Dollar City approached VALIDATE to collaborate on their most ambitious rollercoaster to date, the $30 million “Fire in the Hole,” we knew we were embarking on a journey that would make Ozarks history.
Working under the direction of Herschend Creative Studios, our first task was to create an immersive musical score that would transport guests to another world. We assembled a group of talented musicians who understood the region’s rich heritage, working as a team to weave together elements of bluegrass, folk and country music. The result was a captivating combination of original music, voices, and sound effects that created a 360 degree audio experience for riders.
Alongside these audio elements, our video experts also collaborated with the Herschend team to produce video projection special effects that complement the physical sets and design.
After the successful opening of “Fire in the Hole” in March 2024, Silver Dollar City entrusted VALIDATE with the creation of a commercial TV campaign to advertise the attraction to a wider audience. Our creative team wrote and directed a compelling narrative that highlighted the ride’s unique blend of storytelling and coaster technology.
It was an honor to be a part of reinventing a ride that has played such an important role in the history of tourism in our region.
